Cell Labs GmbH processes personal data of event participants exclusively in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG). Processing is carried out only to the extent necessary for the respective purpose and is based on one or more of the legal bases set out in Art. 6(1) GDPR, specifiCelly points (a) (consent), (b) (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures), and/or (f) (legitimate interests).
Personal data will be deleted or anonymised as soon as the purpose for which it was collected no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations or other legitimate grounds for continued storage exist. Automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR does not take place in connection with this event.

In order to organise and conduct the event, the following personal data is collected from participants as part of the registration process:

• Name(s) of accompanying persons, where applicable
• Email address, where applicable

This data is processed solely for the purposes of event planning and administration, including capacity management, guest list maintenance, and admission control on the day of the event. It will not be used for any other purpose without a separate legal basis.The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the processing is necessary in the context of the registration and attendance agreement between the participant and Cell Labs GmbH. Where email addresses are provided, they may also be used to communicate relevant event information (e.g. scheduling updates or cancellations) prior to the event.All registration data will be deleted promptly after the conclusion of the event, unless statutory retention obligations or other legitimate grounds require continued storage.

Photos and videos will be taken during the event by Cell Labs GmbH and, where applicable, by photographers and videographers commissioned by Cell Labs GmbH. Such recordings may depict individual participants or groups of participants.

The recordings may be used for documentation and marketing purposes and may be published in whole or in part on social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn), on the Cell Labs GmbH website, and in press releases or other public communications. They will be retained for as long as necessary for these purposes.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Cell Labs GmbH has a legitimate interest in documenting and promoting its events through visual content. The rights of participants under Section 23 of the German Act on the Protection of Artistic Creations (Kunsturhebergesetz, KUG) remain unaffected.

Participants who do not wish to be photographed or filmed are kindly requested to make this known to a member of the event team on site. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate such requests.

The registration for this event is handled via the event management platform operated by Luma Labs, Inc. In its capacity as the technical provider and operator of the platform, Luma Labs, Inc. acts as an independent controller within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR with respect to all data processing activities carried out on its platform. Cell Labs GmbH has no influence over the scope, purposes, or legal bases of data processing by Luma Labs, Inc. in this regard.

As a company incorporated under US law, Luma Labs, Inc. may transfer personal data to the United States or other third countries outside the European Economic Area. Any such transfer is carried out on the basis of appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR, in particular standard contractual clauses, or, where applicable, in accordance with the EU–US Data Privacy Framework recognised by the European Commission.

n addition, Luma Labs, Inc. enters into a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with each user who registers via the platform. This agreement is available at: https://lu.ma/dpa

As a data subject, you have the following rights under the GDPR with respect to the processing of your personal data by Cell Labs GmbH:

• Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You have the right to request the correction of inaccurate personal data and the completion of incomplete personal data..

• Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data where one of the grounds listed in Art. 17 GDPR applies.

• Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted in certain circumstances.

• Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): Where processing is based on consent or a contract and is carried out by automated means, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

• Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where processing is based on legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to such processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

• Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR): Where processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.
